Project Description
RN Civil Construction self performed 65% of the work including all earthwork, concrete, yard piping, interior piping, process equipment, general civil site work for the project.
The project included extensive additions and modifications to the District’s existing plant facilities to increase treatment capacity and also improve existing treatment capabilities. The project included an additional aeration basin, new fine bubble on-off diffused air system in the existing 3 aeration basins, construction of new waste activated sludge storage tank, conversion of a nitrification tower into a new aerobic digester and conversion of an existing digester complex into a new flow equalization basin. The project also includes a new vehicle maintenance garage for housing and
maintaining all of the district’s vehicles and equipment. Extensive yard piping additions and modifications are also included in the project. All of the new facilities and modifications to the existing facilities must be constructed while keeping the existing plant operation and within it discharge permit limits.
