Town of Eaton Colorado Wastewater Treatment Plant

The project consisted of a new 1.75 MGD WWTP for the Town of Eaton, Colorado. The project was a design build project and RN Civil Construction was responsible for all design and construction for the project. The new treatment plant was needed to replace and existing oxidation ditch system that was no longer able to meet the Town’s hydraulic and organic loadings. The components of the new plant include a new screenings, aerated grit removal, influent pumping, activated sludge secondary system, UV disinfection, aerobic sludge digestion, and sludge dewatering using a centrifuge system. The project includes two buildings, one that contains all of the pretreatment, pumping, UV, and solids dewatering processes and another building to serve as the administration building and blower building. Most of the existing plant was demolished except for several buildings that were remodeled for maintenance and storage.
